Mohamad Lawand

Mohamad brings in more than 15 years of experience as a Cyber Security Management Consultant and Product Manager. His portfolio includes managerial roles in international consulting firms including Deloitte and Booz Allen Hamilton, with clients spanning across the GCC, Levant and North Africa region.

While working with these companies, he successfully implemented cyber defense strategies, and guided organizations to improving their cyber security postures through innovative use cases and solutions. He performed and managed projects related to security tests and audits, development of IT and security guidelines, policies and procedures. In addition to auditing and implementing management systems based on ISO27001, COBIT, NIST, and other regulatory standards.

During his career, Mohamad worked with Injazat (now Core42) the leading Managed Security Service Provider of UAE, as a product manager where he was instrumental in growing their cyber defense service offerings and contributed to triple the revenue during the same period.

In addition to these, he has accrued numerous certifications in Product Management, Cyber Security, and Risk Management, reflecting his unwavering commitment to professional development.

Mohamad is a thought leader and keynote speaker in regional and international conferences, and has been a frequent guest on regional TV channels, and published several articles and white papers pertaining to cybersecurity threats.

He comes from a strong academic background as he holds a Master of Engineering in Security of Systems and Networks, and a BSc in Telecommunications, speaks Arabic, English and French.

Mohamad lived for 7 years in Riyadh, KSA and has been living in Dubai with his wife and 2 kids for the last 7 years. He is a watch enthusiast, loves travelling, cycling and morning coffee.
